The POE200SC Fast Ethernet PoE Media Converter is a dual purpose device. It supports media conversion applications between Fast Ethernet 10/100Base-TX over UTP/STP copper cable and SC terminated 100Base-FX over multimode fibre cable, supporting ranges of up to 2 kilometres. The device also supports IEEE 802.3af compliant Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications, and can be used to power PD (Powered Device) PoE equipment such as IP phones and IP cameras via UTP or STP data cable.
